Vendor independent parametric modelling (with / without geometry) based on Semantic Web (RDF / RDFS / OWL).
The Parametric Geometry Modelling Kernel (NDCad) is a Semantic Web based Parametric library. This library allows you to design an ontology representing parametric concepts. Both the parametric concepts as well as their instances can be created, edited and exported / imported in Turtle format.
Although all parametric knowledge is independent from geometry; it can be seamlessly integrated with our Geometry Modelling Kernel (also based on Semantic Web concepts). This allows parametric extension of the GEOM ontology and integration with open standards like AP203, AP214, AP242, CIS/2, IFC, LandXML and CityGML (as well as less semanticaly rich open geometry standards like Collada, glTF and OBJ).
The example application (with source code access) allows creation and editing of parametric concepts through an (3D) interface. However the library and API are developed to be connected to existing or new solutions (as a service and / or converter component), allowing vendor independent storage of existing parametric knowledge (with / without geometrical representation) according to Semantic Web concepts (RDF / RDFS / OWL) and serialized in Turtle format.
